Graduation Speech: Go Create New Memories :: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address

I was puzzled and wasnt sure what to talk about tonight. I had to prepare this speech frontwards of time and turn it in for approval. I much prefer doing involvements spontaneously, using altogether the skills I have developed over the years, you sleep together, sorta letting people (being the teachers and parents) know that we really were listening Its much more fun interacting with other people, watching their reactions, and playing along with them. But, I had to do the right thing, So while I was contemplating my topic, it came to me - this is what I want you to take with you as we depart the Bryan Station School District and move on into life. I want you to remember the small, seemingly peanut things that happened to you while you were growing up. You know, like the simple smile that your best friend gave you when you were really have and needed a boost. Like the many times you walked down the hall, high-fiving your buds, showing you cared without getting all goofy about it. You didnt even realize that they were down and just knowing they had a friend in you boosted them to face the following school challenge. Remember the time you were really thirsty in third grade, and went into the room after recess, only to remember that in that respect was a party today, and there would be cupcakes and Kool-aid served in a matter of minutes? Remember saving a seat for your friend to sit on the bus, knowing that you were gonna share all the cool stuff you did yesterday? And how glad you were to be able to share this? Everyday, everything we do affects someone, somehow. My wish is for all of us to recall a kind gesture, a happy moment that happened unplanned, that really sticks in our minds, that made a big impact on us, and relive those moments in our future. Pass on that joy/ wish/support, whatever you got out of it. Remember that you will be making new friends, that those people you have shared every day with for four or possibly 12 years will be going their s eparate ways. You will have many moments where you wont have anyone around to boost you up, where you wont be told if it is the right thing or the good thing to do.

Dinosaurs Essay examples -- essays research papers

Just as most dinosaurs are believed to be wild and mean, most are. Unlike the wild and ferocious Tyrannosaurus Rex, the Velociraptor, is a smaller, agile dinosaur. The apatosaurus can be found with the bigger, more gentle dinosaurs. The Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptor, and Brontosaurus differ greatly in their remains structure, diet, and disco genuinely. The Tyrannosaurus Rex was a very oversized dinosaur. Measuring 50 feet long, the Tyrannosaurus stood over 20 feet tall. The head of the Tyrannosaurus was five feet long and filled with too large teeth that were seven inches long severally (Benton 125). Having a very large skull put a tremendous strain on its body, so to counterbalance its weight, the tyrannosaurus had a strong attachment of gumption to pelvis which allowed its body to pivot at its hip (Wilford 142). With its body balanced right, the Tyrannosaurus walked on two legs, and it had two very short arms. The Tyrannosaurus was integrity of the most feared dinosaurs. Th e word Tyrannosaurus means tyrant reptile. Since the Tyrannosaurus Rex was a heart-eater, its teeth were shaped in zig-zag form which allowed it to cut through meat like a steak knife (Benton 161). It mainly relied on its strength when catching prey. Because it could not swim, many of its prey would run for shelter into water. Also, the Tyrannosaurus Rex was able to organize big breaths due to lots of lung capacity, but it tired easily and could not put up much of a chase when its prey ran. (Monatersky 287).The Tyrannosaurus Rex was an provoke discovery. It was found during the Bone Wars, a period when Paleontology was very popular and competitive. It is believed to have been discovered by Robert Plot during the 1800s (Benton 128). The Tyrannosaurus lived during the Late cretaceous Period (Benton 124). This dinosaur was first believed to be cold-blooded, but now many scientists believe that it was warm-blooded and possibly evolved from birds.Although very small, the Velociraptor was very agile. The Velociraptor was six feet long and four feet tall. This dinosaur was quietly built which allowed it to run fast and jump swiftly. Unlike most dinosaurs, the Velociraptor had long arms which allowed them to be more useful (Benton 126). The jaw muscles were very strong, and were used to strip bark off trees and to break branches (Benton 163). Its mouth was filled with 2000 teeth which were large and bowl-shaped (Wilford 84). many an(prenominal) types of Brontosauruss have been discovered. Believed to be the first dinosaur ever discovered, a large skull and a leg were found (Wilford 86). These body parts were found in the western part of North America, and many, to this day, are still found here (Apatasaurus 1). Many other types of Brontosauruss have been found and ar e the most easily found today. The Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptor, and the Brontosaurus are different in all aspects of life including body structure, diet, and discovery. The Tyrannosaurus Rex was the meanest and most brutal of all, while the Velociraptor was smart and illusive. The Brontosaurus was a more gentle dinosaur, even though it was very large. Each one of the dinosaurs discussed were very interesting and have given a large contribution to science and its understanding.

acters and actresses Essay -- essays research papers

Actors and ActressActors and Actresses are some of the most driven, courageous people on the face of the earth. They deal with more day-to-day rejection in one category than most people do in a lifetime. Each day, actors/actress face the financial challenge of living a freelance lifestyle, the disrespect of people who bring forward they should get real jobs, and their own fear that theyll never work again. Every day they have to ignore the possibility that the vision to which they have dedicated their lives is a subway system dream. To visualize a school solely for acting, not just the drama department of a larger university, SAT scores and high school record arent always looked at. For some drama schools, a complete high school education isnt even needed. However, the more prestigious the school, the higher the standards are. If you were to try to get into the Performing Arts College at, say, Columbia University in New York, the requirements are much hig her at the testing level. At any school, no matter Ivy League or community college, to enter the performing arts department one has to audition. The Life Of Mozart Essay -- essays research papers

My book report is from the biography of Mozart written by Robert W. Gutman. It was illustrated by the Jacket art courtesy of Music Lovers lodge and was published by Harcourt Brace and Company. It was printed in New York City and the year of publication was 1999.Mozart was born in Salzburg, Austria, the son of composer, musical author, and violinist, Leopold Mozart and his wife, Anna Maria Pertl. His given name were Johann Chrysostom Wolfgang Theophilus, the fail of which is Gottlieb in German, and Amadeus in Latin. He used Wolfgang and Amadeus in his signature, so he is generally known by these two names. He displayed marked musical gifts very early, playing the keyboard confidently when aged four, composing his first pieces for it aged five, and quickly mastering the violin. Leopold was keen to exhibit his sons extraordinary talents, along with those of his gifted pianist-daughter, Maria-Anna (called Nannerl) (1751--1829), and he undertook a series of tours across Europe with t hem when Mozart was just six years old. In 1767 the family went to Vienna for five months, where Mozart wrote an opera house buffa (comic opera) for the Emperor, La finta semplice (trans, the Pretend Simpleton) and a Singspiel (a German-language opera with some spoken dialogue), Bastien und Bastienne (1769), commissioned by Dr Franz Anton Mesmer. However, in Vienna, the Italian musicians at court, including the composer Antonio Salieri, made it difficult for him to produce his operas. He returned to Salzburg, and was appointed honorary Konzertmeister to Archbishop Sigismund von Schrattenbach. There followed iii extended visits by father and son to Italy (1770--2). Musical experience gained on these tours helped mold Mozarts style, especially in dramatic music. He was prolific, writing sacred song pieces and instrumental works too. By 1772 he had written about 25 symphonies (some are lost), and his first quartets. Further quartets and symphonies followed during and after a visit to Vienna in 1773, when he came into contact with Haydns music. Between 1775--6 he composed two operas La finta Giardiniera (trans The Lady Who Disguised Herself as a Gardener) and Il Re Pastore (The Shepherd King) five... ...apellmeister of St Stephens Cathedral. His last complete works were the masonic Singspiel, Die Zauberflote (1791, The Magic Flute) an opera seria, La clemenze di Tito (1791, The mercy of Tito), and a clarinet concerto for Leopolds coronation. Commissioned by an unknown stranger to compose the threnody Mass, Mozartbecame obsessed with the idea that it was for his own close, and he died before the work was finished after a three-week fever. No convincing evidence about the cause of death has come to light, although there has been much speculation about it. Deeply in debt at the time of his death, Mozart did not live long enough to enjoy the pecuniary rewards from the success of The Magic Flute, and was buried in a paupers grave. Even though I did not get a chan ce to read the whole finished book, I belief that Mozarts life was interesting and worthwhile. He seemed a little kooky at times, but his music is very beautiful. I thought that Robert W. Gutman did a very good job interpreting Mozarts life. The book was a little hard to follow but it gave me much to write about him and learn more about his work.

Design a web order for a business enterprise, meeting exploiter requirements I lead designed my own website and my aim was to meet the requirements that my users need and desire from a health and beauty business. The specific purpose for my site is to promote my estimable made produce while keeping people happy and giving them what they want and expect. Further more(prenominal), the purpose for my site is to give my nodes a sense of my brands personality and to hopefully retain them my users and continue to grow though e-commerce. Its purpose is to inform people of who I am and what we do and provide my customers with efficiency while saving prison term on my part and increasing my customer base. I am defining my website to 14 35 year olds who restrain an interest in keeping salubrious and looking nice while still being ethical and beneficial to the environment. My products range from hair, skin, nails, make-up, music, candles and many more, so whoever is interested in these, I will be defining my website to them. On my website I have six webpages (with yokes to others) and these include a homepage, transaction page, enquiry/chat help page, review/customer feedback page, our grade page, our products page and an additional find us page and our philosophy page. I have ruling about how I am going about retaining customer and encouraging repeat visits by inserting certain aspects, for example, a product on sale. I have thought about how I will build assurance from my site and I have added a chat help page so customers can ask questions and present enquiries. I alike have thought about glory promotion and how someone who people trust, trusting a brand can help users to build trust and confidence.P5 Describe how the design meets user needsMy website design is designed to be simplistic but interesting to look at while providing users with all the abstract information to guide them and also keep them safe and feeling protect. The layout is designed to be simple to read with all the appropriate pages aligned so they are easy to pinpoint. There isnt a lot on each page itself which means that customers avoid getting confused and can navigate around my site without stress. One of the functions of my site is to encourage interaction with particular sites that shows my business in a good light such as sure2amaze.com which I have copied and paste a link so users can view paid/customer feedback compared to other health and beauty products. I also have linked myFacebook page and Twitter which enables off-site conversation, allowing users to create a circle of interaction that extends from on-site conversations to off-site conversations. In regards to my market segmentation, my user needs is to be efficient, up to date and engaging. In comparison to the website in general, my website needs to be speedy, accessibility, good navigation and provide information. My website is modern yet has a vintage twist via the product bottles being the or iginal embrown pipet glass bottles that people might have used a while back. I submit my customer with marketing strategies such as celebrity promotions, and my website server is quick meaning the users experience doesnt experience any turbulence. Furthermore, all my website pages are aligned at the top of the page which never disappears. In addition to all this, I have pages such as our philosophy or our narration which presents users with appropriate information to establish personal connections with the customer to engage them. I feel all these features are appropriate because not only to the engage the user and encourage them to remain on my website, information about our story and celebrity recognition can enable the user to build trust and confidence when navigating around the site or making a purchase.Feeling protected can also build trust with the user and my security padlock image gives the user reassurance that when they are on the site they are safe which makes it appr opriate because the user will not continue to shop with you if they experience any problems and feel they are taking a risk. My domain name is www.aesthetic-cosmetics.co.uk and this briefly means, a unique name that identifies an internet resource such as my website. The hosting option I chose is wix.com where I pay monthly fees to keep my website active on the internet. Hosting options essentially means where a website reside in order to be ready to be viewed by online visitors. The security settings I chose is comoo authentic padlock which protects my users from any sober website additions and informs them that their personal information will be safe. Security setting basically protects the users information by safely storing this in the sites system and reassuring them that it will not be used for unapproved purposes.M2 Assess how the website design meets user requirementsMy market segmentation is 14 35 year olds who have an interest in keepinghealthy and looking nice. The at tributes my target market has is being cautious about their image, being on trend including all dissimilar ethnicities, backgrounds and sexual natures. Other attributes of the younger generation might include being active online and more aware of what companies should deliver via being ethical and providing security for users. I believe my target group want something engaging so therefore colourful and interesting to look at while being individual and unique. The theatrical role of typography that my market segmentation will be attracted too are writing techniques which has explosive words of colour while still being professional and easily readable. The typography of young adults/teens are to have friendly round corners and that the mojority of teenagers prefered either the font bambo or comic sans accourding the this websitehttp//issuu.com/anna_magombe/docs/research_into_typographic_design_for_young_people_.The data was easy to find and I found this on a website which displayed an easy to read booklet on the typography design for young people. My website portrays the overall organisational objectives for my site by adopting an easy-to-use tug of pages in the header which means users can easily navigate around the website. Another reason why my website portrays organisation is the features included such as a chat link, safety settings, customer feedback, information all come together to define an organised website with all the relevant features to meet user needs. Without these features, my website would appear to be disorganised and lacking in relation to customer satisfaction standards. D2 Evaluate the extent to which the website design meets user requirements, making recommendations for improvementsIn my opinion, I believe my website to have been designed well, but due to the lack of efficiency through Wix, I feel my design layout could have been improved if I used a more user-friendly hosting option. I feel the pictures and colour screen are engaging and simplistic. However because of the lack of features via Wix, I believe my website look crowded and I image that some of the information designed to improve my users experience might be looked over and missed out in relation to the positioning and font surface (chosen from the lack of space). Some improvements I could have made would be choosing a different hosting option other than Wix. The reason for this is because there is room for improvement in the user friendly side of things in relation to this hosting option.

Nanotechnology Uses to Enhance Computer Performance Essay

Although the core concepts of na nonechnology were introduced in the early 1950s, nanotechnology was not properly introduced to the world until 1974. That was the year a Japanese scientist, named Tanigushi, coined the word nanotechnology. Nanotechnology refers to the constructing and engine room of systems at the atomic level. Nanotechnology volition be the major technology in development of every machine in coming years. (Wifinotes, n. d. ) Nanotechnology allow greatly make better the functionality and performance of computers.BodyIn everyday terms, Nanotechnology is based on manipulations of individual atoms and molecules to build complex atomic structures. (Tarasov, 2009, pg. 1) Working at the atomic level is a very new technology. The size of a nanometer is one-billionth of a meter. For comparison purposes, A very fine human hair is about 10,000 nanometers wide, which is the smallest dimension we can see with the naked eye. (Cook, 2005) Before research could begin, resear chers had to first invent a machine that could work with such small particles.Their goal was to manipulate atoms and molecules into a particular configuration a configuration capable of performing functions similar to a micro surgical operationor. The technology prior to nanotechnology started out rather primitive. It was a major deliver the goods in technology when void tubes were invented. They came into existence about the same time Thomas Edison invented the light bulb. Vacuum tubes were first utilized in computers in 1946 until 1958. By then, vacuum tubes could not be made any smaller, so technology gave us transistors.Transistors were expenditured in computers from 1959 to 1964. One transistor took the place of 40 vacuum tubes. When the limits of the transistor were reached, computer builders used integrated circuits from 1965 to 1970. In 1971, the microprocessor came into computer use. Faster and smaller than any come downg so far, the microprocessor led to the invention of personal computers. Now that the advancement of microprocessors has nigh reached its limits, it is now time for the next generation of processor, which some researchers say will be engineered on the nanometer scale. But, how will they manipulate particles on such a minute scale? Before manipulating atoms into the desired position, researchers had to see them first. Researchers had to invent a microscope that would allow them to see atoms. In 1981, IBM researchers invented the Scanning Probe Microscope (SPM). (University of Wisconsin, 2008) This microscope allowed researchers to see atoms. As it turns out, in 1989, researchers found they could actually manipulate atoms into the desired position with the SPM. researchers have been able to manipulate and stabilize atomic-size structures in such a way that they can persistently maintain the qualities needed to be classified as viable, though still strictly experimental, computational devices. (Goth, 2012)Atoms are constantly moving , so catching one to take around was very difficult. The atoms needed to be cooled down to near absolute zero, to -450 degrees Fahrenheit, the temperature where most atoms hardly move. The Scanning Probe Microscope (Nanooze, 2005) After cooling the atoms, researchers were able to use the SPM to move individual atoms to a specific location. One at a time, they moved the atoms into position to spell IBM. It took them nearly an entire day to do it. find image below Atoms arranged to spell IBM (Nanooze, 2005) Since the first manipulation of atoms had been demonstrated, researchers have continued to move atoms into complicated configurations, as shown in the figure below. Depiction of a nanotechnology produced gear set (Wifinotes, n. d. ) After all the groundwork had been laid, computer researchers turned their attention to using nanotechnology in the computer world.Their first target was the check. Current microchip technology limits have nearly been reached and the researchers went t o work shrinking the size of the processors . etching lithography techniques can only take features so far anything below 22nm is just not feasible. (European Nanotechnology Gateway, n. d. ) Right now, the newest chipsets using lithographic etching are being produced with 65nm features. Intel has realized a 10-15% improvement in drive current, which means greater performance, through the use of nanotechnology.Meanwhile, at IBM, to aid the shrinking of the processors, researchers have developed transistors from carbon nanotubes. ( European Nanotechnology Gateway, n. d. ) Carbon nanotubes show great improvements compared to conventional silicon transistors. The carbon nanotubes are long, thin strands of carbon molecules. In the lab, they delivered more than double the amount of electrical current compared to the top-performing transistors currently on the market. ( European Nanotechnology Gateway, n. . )A single strand of carbon atoms (red)contained in a multi-walled carbon nanotub e. (American Institute of Physics, 2003) Lithographic etching is being replaced with a new process called block co-polymer lithography, or BCP. Scientists have found a process to create nano-scale patterns that is expected to be used in the manufacture of microprocessors. Using the new process, silicon wafer features have been developed between five and 20 nanometers cryptic much smaller than the current 65 nanometers. In the figure below, you can see an image of a nano-scale microprocessor created by the BCP process (Nanotechnology, 2011) According to Nanotechnology Future engineering with the use of nanotechnology, it could be possible to transform desktop computers into computers that are the size of a watch but with more operating capacity and they will as well last longer than current computersComputers with the capabilities of current workstations will be the size of a grain of sand and will be able to operate for decades with the resembling of a single wristwatch battery .This technology advancement will make computers more abundant, cheaper to manufacture, faster, and smaller. (Nanotechnology Future Technology, 2012) When a processors feature size is reduced, it uses slight electricity and produces less heat, thereby becoming more efficient and economical to operate. Being more efficient and economical also means faster, more steady-going overall performance of the computer. ConclusionNanotechnology will provide the world with advancements in electronics along with many other fields, such as biology, chemistry and medicine. In the future, nanotechnology will play a major role in the discovery of new components, such as nano-sized microprocessors, and will enhance many other existing technologies. Nanotechnology will be the major technology in thedevelopment of every machine in coming years. (Wifinotes, n. d. ) Nanotechnology will greatly improve the functionality and performance of computers.

Almost every unpolished has an office from Unicef. The organisation helps for two third of the organisations funds and the other part is from the millions of mint that supports Unicef which makes it for the bigger part a public organisation. Its a non- network organisation, because they dont want to make a lot of money for themselves but to raise money to help the childrenwho fo r example cant go to develop because they dont have the money for it or even because they dont have schools at that place. Shell has pipelines in Nigeria which can be very dangerous and cause local pollution, in that locationfore community leaders represent important interest groups. Shell wants them to represent Shell positively.6.Suppliers Suppliers are population who provides Shells pr oducts. (For example the things they sell at theyre petrol stations, not the oil/gas as they produce that themselves.) They want to come up valued by Shell and they want steady orders and to be paid at their worth. Shell wants the suppliers to deliver the right orders and that the products are in best condition.2.3&2.4Stakeholders of Unicef1. staff members Staff members ensures that everything is going smoothly, both in offices and on field. They want to see the results while being in field, for example, to see the kids go to the school they have built. Unicef wants the staff members to do their best and see the best results. 2.Goodwill Ambassadors and Advocates Goodwill Ambassadors and Advocates are celebrities that funds Unicef. They want to use their fame positively and help as many kids as they can with their money. Unicef gets more known because of those celebrities. With their help people acknowledge their campaign.Plus, they are good volunteers with enough money. 3.You ng Leaders Young Leaders are young adults or teens that are lot out with the campaign as well. Young leaders wants to help out children or teens that are maybe just a few years older than them, sometimes because they feel bad for those children. They have it better so they want to help out. Having young leaders in the team is a positive number because this motivates others from the same age to do something to help children out, too. 4.Teachers Volunteers that want to teach children in for example Africa. -Teachers wants to volunteer so they feel good about themselves helping the children to get better education or just an education at all. They want to be send off in a secure place, though. And not in, for example, a war zone. Unicef needs Teachers because otherwise building schools are no help at all if theres no one to teach those children something. 5.Suppliers Those are the ones who supplies the school books etc. They want to feel valued by Unicef and wants clear orders fro m them. Unicef wants the suppliers to deliver the orders to be in good quality and to be delivered on time. 6.People who gives their parting to the collectorsThey give money to the collectors to help out. For example, they want to think they helped out building that school in Africa. Unicef need those people to help out to get more money so they can help out more.P3Organisational Chart of Shell5.1Shell is organized by function, geographical areas, product groups and type of customers. Shells functions are divided in three groupings upriver, Downstream and Projects & Technology. Upstream manages the manufacturing and search crude oil and natural gas. Downstream also manages the manufacturing and are responsible for the trade department. Projects & Technology does the research and projects for new products.Shell is, as mentioned before, a global company, having offices all over the world. The Upstream only is already divided in Upstream Americas (for Americas), Upstream Internati onal (for Europe, Asia/Middle East/Russia, Oceania and Africa. This is because it can function better and they can focus within that rude/continent. They can focus on the refinement and interest within that country/continent. They are also organized by products as you can see above. They are divided by gas, fuels and lubricants and chemical products. This expressive style each group can specialize in their own product and make it better. Shell has a lot of customers, like the one who drives daily to and from their work or a big planing machine company or the F1 team. They use diverse products or amount of products, so Shell organized it this way that the airplane company gets a different cost than a normal man who drives daily to and from their work. 5.2My Royal Dutch Shell would smack at the amount of profit they made the year before. How much oil and gas they posses and there is on earth. Well look at how much we sell our products and how much our variable costs are and if we can make our variable costs less and our prices higher. Would we lose customers if we do that or not? We will do an internal researches for how much oil there still is on earth. With this information we can go further with our strategic plan. If the oil is decreasing for example, we will lookfor alternative solution. Shell will look for whats going on in each country. For example, everyone is really busy with being environmentally conscious, so well think of a way other than greenpeace to memorialise that we are not too bad for the environment. We will look at how the economy is growing or deflating. If its growing we can make the price higher, and if its deflating we dont necessarily need to put the prices lower as Shells product is something that everyone constantly need. (Oil) Looking at what the co-occurrent position, at how they are doing is also something to consider. Organisational Chart of Unicef5.3Unicef is divided by directors. They have the executive Director who is in charge of the whole organisation. And other directors that are in charge of for example the Human Resources or the supplies. So Unicef is organized by function. Unicef has different regional directors. For example, theres the Dutch Unicef Director, or the UK Unicef Director. . Working a lot on field (different countries) its easier to have regional offices. This makes Unicef function better as Unicef represent itself in 190 countries, each country with different values. So each country director/manager can focus on how to reach the people Unicef is also organized by geographical areas. Unicef focuses on different type of products which are actually the different services. Although all is about children, the subjects are different. They have child survival and development, Basic education and gender equality, Children and human immunodeficiency virus/AIDS and Child protection. They divided those subjects so they can specialise more and give the help that the child needs better. The y also sell small things, kind of reminds me of souvenirs, the profit they make from these goes to the campaign funds.5.4Unicef will look at how theyve succeeded at their projects so far, how many donations they get each year, how many members/volunteer theyve got and what their next tone needs to be depends on what is going on with the people around the countries they help or even which country theyll need to help next. Once they have all those information, theyll look at how they canget more projects. To get more projects done, theyll do more research so that they can give people more and more information and can attract more people to help them out. Unicef should show on the media what theyve achieve so far and that the money people donate are really helping out. This way well get more donation, so more profit to finish projects.P4Fulfilling The Purpose of Shell6.1Shells purpose is to make as much profit as they can. Being organized by function they can put people who are work by those functions and make their product even better. The geographical structure helps to get to know what they need to do to get the attention of each country. Because each country has different laws, values and culture they can do their research way better if each group specialised in one specific country. Shell can make their advertisement focused on each country.Focusing on the different customers they can make special offers for different customers. Making these offers they can make sure that the customer will come back to them and can cause word to word advertisement.Splitting up different products types helps customers to know where to find what when they come to buy products from shell. Having different products means they need to make sure everything is from the same quality, the best quality. So by dividing their products and putting people who specialised on those product they know they have the best quality. Which will make customer come back to them. To be structured go od, Shell uses the chain of command. It helps shell to make sure that they get the tasks that you need to do and that it doesnt go to a different department. Fulfilling The Purpose of Unicef6.2Unicefs purpose is to help as much children in need as they can. Being geographical organized helps them to fulfil their purpose because this way they can focus on what each country needs. For example, one country needs more school instead of help with HIV/AIDS. Focusing on different product type helps as well. This way, people knows exactly for what they are donating.Same as Shell, Unicef uses the chain of command so that people get the right tasks. Using Goodwill Ambassador helps them achieve their purposes, too. For example, having Selena Gomez as an ambassador is great help for them in the media. Shes really big in the entertainment industries and is a role model for a lot of teens and young adults all over the world. She indirectly advertises Unicef when she tweets or talks about how shes an ambassador. Having different directors for each function helps as well as they can specialise on what they are doing in that sector. They can give the people underneath them better instructions.

Internationalization Company

First Coursework Analyse a real life party of your choice (This company can be from any industry, and be at any stage of internationalization) for a new destination for internationalization. The company choice is yours. Any country, any industry, any size. You are expected to explain with combining three unalike theories of internationalization economic, learning and network. The answer should argue the motivation, benefits, process and form of internationalization. If you are proposing an early stage of internationalization then satisfy explain how this decision can be actual for further levels of internationalization. This means you will explain the internationalization of the firm by analyzing through three different theories of internationalization. This should result in selecting a form of internationalization i. e. exporting or FDI, a country to internationalize. This form of internationalization can be further developed through licensing, franchising or form of FDI.In this coursework, you are expected to implement what you have learned in class to a real life company rather than explain the theory. You need to relate to the theory to a level where your arguments are supported by these theories. Please do not explain the theories entirely explain how they are related to your coursework. Please remember that at the end of the coursework you need to give a pass. This recommendation should have the new country that they should internationalise to and the mode of internationalisation. The mode of internationalisation has a wide range starting from exporting to wholly owned internationalisation. Please do not forget the recommendation section. The motivation is why the company is internationalising (please add this to your introduction) The process- is how they internationalise, this is the use of theories. The theories used and how well they are used will explain the process. The form-the mode of internationalisation Please mold what is the mode of int ernationalisation.

Quantitative Marketing Research

Quantitative market enquiry is the application of quantitative search techniques to the field of marketing. It has roots in both the positivist view of the world, and the modern marketing viewpoint that marketing is an interactive process in which both the emptor and seller reach a satisfying agreement on the four Ps of marketing Product, Price, Place (location) and Promotion. As a social query method, it typically involves the construction of questionnaires and scales. People who respond (respondents) are asked to complete the survey.Marketers use the information so obtained to understand the needs of individuals in the marketplace, and to create strategies and marketing plans. Write the research report Report usually has headings such as 1) executive summary 2) objectives 3) methodology 4) main findings 5) detailed charts and diagrams. Present the report to the client in a 10 minute presentation. Be prepared for questions. The design step may involve a pilot study to in order to discover each hidden issues. The codification and analysis steps are typically performed by computer, using statistical software. The data collection steps, can in some instances be automated, but often require significant manpower to undertake.Interpretation is a skill mastered only by experience. edit Statistical analysis The data acquired for quantitative marketing research can be analysed by almost any of the range of techniques of statistical analysis, which can be broadly divided into descriptive statistics and statistical inference. An important set of techniques is that related to statistical surveys. In any instance, an appropriate type of statistical analysis should take account of the various types of error that may arise, as outlined below. edit Reliability and validity Research should be tested for reliability, generalizability, and validity.Generalizability is the ability to make inferences from a sample to the population. Reliability is the extent to which a measure will produce consistent results. Test-retest reliability checks how similar the results are if the research is repeated under similar circumstances. Stability over repeated measures is assessed with the Pearson coefficient. Alternative forms reliability checks how similar the results are if the research is repeated using different forms. interior consistency reliability checks how rise up the individual measures included in the research are reborn into a composite measure.Internal consistency may be assessed by correlating performance on two halves of a test (split-half reliability). The value of the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient is adjusted with the Spearman chocolate-brown prediction formula to correspond to the correlation between two full-length tests. A commonly used measure is Cronbachs ? , which is equivalent to the mean of all doable split-half coefficients. Reliability may be improved by increasing the sample size. Validity asks whether the research measured what it intended to. Content validation (also called face validity) checks how well up the content of the research are related to the variables to be studied it seeks to answer whether the research questions are representative of the variables being researched. It is a demonstration that the items of a test are drawn from the domain being measured. Criterion validation checks how meaningful the research criteria are relative to other possible criteria. When the criterion is collected later(prenominal) the goal is to establish predictive validity. Construct validation checks what underlying construct is being measured. There are three variants of construct validity convergent validity (how well the research relates to other measures of the same construct), discriminant validity (how poorly the research relates to measures of opposing constructs), and nomological validity (how well the research relates to other variables as required by theory). Internal validation, used primarily in experimental research designs, checks the relation between the dependent and independent variables (i. e. Did the experimental manipulation of the independent variable actually suffice the observed results? External validation checks whether the experimental results can be generalized. Validity implies reliability A valid measure must be reliable. Mary Barton

Elizabeth Gaskells Mary Barton is a new(a) of social reform that explores injustice, abuse and inequality. The novel is especially concerned with the societal condition of England at the time. In her Preface Mrs. Gaskell asserted, I know nothing of Political Economy, or the theories of the trade. I have tried to write truth across-the-boardy. The truth of Mary Barton is not political or frugal but the truth of the military personnel heart. The novel is not about industrial conditions but about community living in those conditions. Mrs. Gaskells social go in writing is to inform rather than to reform. Her aim in writing is to give utterance to the agony and to explicate the consequences of the seeming injustice of the inequalities of fortune. In Mary Barton, the protagonist pot Barton asks with bitter vehemence about the injustice of the massive gulf in the midst of the upper and lower classes Why argon they so separate, so distinct, when God has made them all? We are their sl aves as long as we can work we pile up fortunes with the sweat of our brows and yet we are to live as separate as Dives and Lazarus, with a great gulf betwixt us.John Barton is ultimately driven to the act of murder by his outrage at the gulf fixed betwixt the rich and the poor. John Barton is ultimately a victim of society and an example of how a man full of human kindness is hardened into hatred and violence. As the author tells the reader his wifes stopping point meant that one of the ties which bound him down to the gentle humanities of earth was loosened. The string of events that followed the strike, the Davenports starvation and fever, the employees self-important isolation and the failure of the petition, seem to purposely show that the world reckons the poor folk no account. And as John Barton lies on his deathbed his enemy Mr. Carson sits in his library quite unable to hate his sons murderer. At the end Mr. Carson forgives John Barton and the murderer dies in the arms of the man whose son he has slay and this image explicates the novels pivotal theme in the hope of human heartedness. In her novel Mrs. Gaskell presents men and women at the extreme of suffering at which point only the most radical of human actions remain be they despair and hatred or alternatively human compassion and forgiveness.

Economical and religious repression Essay

Illustrate from Blakes songs the ways the poet shows that the pack of his time were alienated from their natural selves and from society by political, economical and religious repression A major organize of Blakes in the conquest to correct the unnatural state of society was that of holiness and the Church. Blake was an unconventional Christian.Although netherstandably religious, as seen in meters such as The Lamb and Night, he abhorred the concept of organised religious belief and believed it to be an extremely damage institution which was more concerned with the oppression of the lower classes and the continuance of the uneven status quo than with true religion. Blake believed the moral codes that were extolled by the Church were significantly damaging to society, making innocent concepts degenerate and causing bitter unhappiness. In The Garden of Love, Blake conveys his feelings on the repressing qualities of religion. This poem is the basis for Blakes theory on repressive religion, using The Garden of Love as a basis for the damaging effects of religious bans, Blake then goes onto portray how the effects change with different experiences such as bask and stir. In the poem, the vocalizer returns to The Garden of Love where he used to play (which seems to refer to the innocent baring of sexuality by children) and finds that it has been transformed. Where once children used to play on the green there are direct priests in black gowns, and gravestones where there used to be flowers. The speaker has become aware of Church police and its oppressive bans, Blake emphasises the influence of the religious morals by use of metrical technique. The power of Thou shalt non paralyses the poem, with three successive stresses halting the regularly anapaestic rhythm. In the same way that Thou shalt not stops the flow of the poem, the construction of the Chapel stops the innocent play of children. In the design which accompanies the poem children are seen prayi ng over the graves of Joys & Desires, which were murdered by the Church.Blake further expands his theory on how repressive religion alienates sight of his day from their natural selves in his two poems on sexual intercourse, The open and The upchuck arise. The Blossom is a celebration of what Blake would call completely natural sex, beingness free from morals and repressive religion it is a wonderful and joyous occasion, so full of emotion that it makes the robin sob with joy. The Blossom is full of positive language, such as happy, merry and pretty and contains a simple and alert rhythm that conveys the naturalness of the act and how positive such sex is.The Sick rosaceous on the opposite hand portrays sexual intercourse at its most vitiate and shameful. The poem is a vision of sex under the influence of repressive religious morals and restricting social conventions it portrays sexual intercourse under the influence of repressive religious morals. The poem utilises a compl icated and lumpy rhythm, with a mix of anapaestic and iambic feet and a disturbing first line which is difficult to scan, the world of Experience is clearly evoked through Blakes metrical technique. The poems imagery of an invisible worm flying at night in a howling storm is full of darkness, violence and depravity. The Rose hides (implied by found out) her sexual pleasure, her bed of crimson joy, which reveals the hypocrisy of female pleasure in this depraved form of sex the Rose has sexual desire but hides it from the invisible worm. In the lowest two lines Blake sums up his point of the poem, that this kind of sexual intercourse, this dark secret love, Does thy life repeal.Through his portrayal of love and sex in the Songs, Blake shows the damaging effects of religious repression. Repressive religious morals and laws have led to the body becoming detached from the soul, and sex, which the Church associates with the body, has become a single-seeded and deviant act. In these po ems, Blake has shown that the Church has alienated people from their natural selves. In My Pretty Rose guide, Blake reveals his beliefs on the unnatural constraints of man and wife.Blake repudiated any kind of binding contracts or morals, which might constrain the natural egotism from its freedom and sexual union fell firmly within his sights. As far as Blake was concerned, marriage was a dead institution (as revealed by the marriage hearse of London) and an unnatural social prison which severely shamed peoples natural selves. In the poem, a flower was offered to the speaker, a metaphor for an extra-marital affair, by a woman which the speaker finds attractive (Such a flower as May never bore). However, the unnatural constraints of marriage cause the speaker to unhappily, suggested by the slowing of the rhythm with a double stress in And I passed the sweet flower oer, turn down the offer and return to his wife, his Pretty Rose tree. The artificial boundaries of marriage have le d to the speaker giving up the chance of being happy with his sweet flower and to being trapped with his jealous Rose tree whose thorns are his solely delight.Blake suggests that without the constraints of marriage that the speaker would have been free to follow his heart, rather than conforming to an artificial law and becoming unhappy. In London, Blake further expresses his attitude towards marriage. In the poem, marriage is presented as a hearse, a vessel for carrying the dead, though with their bodies (their sexual selves) being dead in a loveless and institutionalised marriage which extols the virtues of the soul over the deviant and depraved body. Blake blames the unnatural state of love in society on the Churchs separation of body and soul. The separation has forced the soul to be encapsulated in marriage and the body to be forced to become deviant and turn to youthful Harlots. Sexual pleasure has unaccompanied two options, either a loveless marriage or buying pleasure from s eedy and ghoulish prostitutes. Marriage, in Blakes eyes, has made all sexual pleasure the kind found in The Sick Rose, depraved and hidden, whereas in a world free from the unnatural constraints alienating people from themselves, people would be able to enjoy the pleasure found in The Blossom.
